Cary, N.C. [June 21, 2022] – The V Foundation for Cancer Research, a top-rated cancer research charity, is pleased to announce the second annual Blocking Cancer dinner on Thursday, July 21, hosted by Indianapolis Colts’ All-Pro Offensive Lineman Quenton Nelson, with comedian Joey Mulinaro as emcee. Nelson established the Blocking Cancer initiative in 2021 to fund game-changing cancer research through the V Foundation with the annual dinner as a cornerstone event of the program. This year’s event is presented by Gregor Private Wealth Group at Merrill Lynch.
“I am excited to host the second annual Blocking Cancer dinner,” said Nelson. “Together, as a team, we can make an impact on game-changing cancer research.”
The event will include a fine dining experience courtesy of Anthony’s Chophouse in Carmel, Indiana. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive live and silent auction items. Current and former Indianapolis Colts players will meet with guests at an official after-party, following dinner. Tickets are open to the public and available at v.org/blockingcancer.
“Like so many families, cancer has significantly impacted our family,” said Marty Gregor, managing director of Gregor Private Wealth Group. “To me, the V Foundation’s mission embodies the human spirit, spoken inspirationally by Jim Valvano: ‘Don’t Give Up . . . Don’t Ever Give Up!’® Knowing that 100% of direct donations benefit cancer research and programs, I continue to enthusiastically support the V Foundation.”
The V Foundation holds 11 consecutive 4-star (highest) ratings from Charity Navigator, America’s largest evaluator of charities, making the Foundation among the top 2% of all charities evaluated.
