Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Carl C. Liebert III is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of USAA Capital Corporation, a provider of insurance, banking, investment and retirement services to members of the U.S. military and their families. As President, Liebert leads USAA Federal Savings Bank, Investments, Life Insurance Co. and Real Estate Co.

Prior to USAA, Liebert served as Chief Executive Officer and President of 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide. He oversaw more than 430 fitness centers across the nation and Asia. Under his leadership, the company grew from 2.8 million to almost 4 million members, becoming one of the largest privately held fitness club operations in the world. The company also established partnerships with the United States Olympic Committee, NBC’s The Biggest Loser and Jessica’s Hope Project, a non-profit organization that sends fitness-oriented care packages to overseas troops.

Liebert has also served as Executive Vice President for The Home Depot where he was responsible for retail operations of more than 2,000 stores and 300,000 associates worldwide. Liebert was elected to USAA Capital Corporation’s Board of Directors in 2011 and resigned his seat in order to serve on the company’s management team.
